Mission / Vision / Values - it's not all about you

You’ve defined your core values. You’re clear on your mission, your purpose, your reason to exist as a business. You’ve crafted your vision, and know where you want to go.

Job done? Not quite.

Have you checked in on who else inside your business is living and breathing it?

Do all employees know, really know, what your organisation stands for?

Can you honestly say those statements guide the day-to-day behaviour of most (or any) or your team?

How many of your team even know what they say? Could they recite them, or at least capture the essence of them?

Are the principles integrated into role descriptions and part of performance evaluations?

If you don’t score highly reflecting on the above... it’s time to go about making it mean something; and better still - including your team in on the discussion.
